World Par-Tea

The Story Behind The Products

World PAR-TEA is a 100% Australian owned business. From humble beginnings they began selling just a handful of different varieties of tea at Blackheath Farmers Market & Bathurst Farmers Markets in NSW, Austalia. The business quickly grew, as the demand for quality loose leaf teas became apparent. They moved the business to Port Macquarie and had great success at the markets and now have a supply warehouse and shop selling over 230 teas, tisane and fruit infusions.

Owner Kerrie is passionate about tea and picks the highest quality teas for both flavour and wellbeing.

Quality Tea

We have a selection of their loose leaf teas which are the highest grade and quality and are ethically sourced from the best locations world-wide, including Australia. Their teas are free of artificial chemicals and flavours, using only natural flavours in infusions and the finest dried fruits, flowers and organic herbs & spices in blends.

How To Brew Tea

World PAR-TEA always recommend using an infuser to brew Teas, Tisanes and Infusions. Whether brewing in a pot or cup, they recommend you place the ingredients in an infuser, so the leaves and flavours have room to expand and can be removed easily with no mess at the end of the brew time. This stops the brew from becoming over-brewed and bitter. Tea baskets or balls of various sizes and shapes can be used in pots, cups or mugs which do not have an infuser. Avoid tea bags that are not food-grade: tea bags made of plastic could leach potentially harmful chemicals as well as nanoplastic and microplastic particles into your drink when steeped in hot water.

First step for brewing. Boil the water. Warm the teapot, cup or mug with the boiling water and empty. Then follow the instructions for the type of Tea, Tisane or Infusion you are making. Visit World PAR-TEA website for details.

Japanese Matcha

This is the tea of the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Uji match, which is from Kyoto, Japan. Young premium quality tea leaves are ground into powder form so that the tea can be whisked into a thick infusion. This high-quality Matcha (powdered Tencha green tea) is designed to prepare “usucha” (thin tea) for the Japanese tea ceremony. Produced by steaming, drying and grounding Gyokuro tea, the result is a deep emerald tea with a rich, subtle sweetness and layers of flavour.

Yin Zhen White

A White tea of incomparable quality. White tea is created when only the unopened leaf buds are picked rather than the leaves themselves. These buds are often covered with a fine, white, downy covering (like tiny hairs) giving the silvery appearance associated with white teas. The younger and smaller the leaves picked, the sweeter the taste and the more sought after the tea. Yin Zhen however, is no ordinary white tea. Yin Zhen is made up of only the topmost bud from the youngest part of the plant, from only certain bushes deemed to be of high enough quality.

Australian Breakfast

Australian Daintree black tea, grown in Australia. Blended with Assam black tea for strength… it’s the Australian answer to English Breakfast. A great way to start your day.
