Amber Drop Honey

Hobby Takes Off

Their beekeeping journey started by chance but it has over time become a full-time occupation. It started as a hobby, rescuing bees, and grew into a passion that ultimately has changed their lifestyle.

Sven and  Ana rescue hives that would otherwise be exterminated and give them a new home and nurture them.

They then collect their honey and bottle it with love. They produce a classic honey and also flavoured ones (all raw) and other related products.

Save The Bees!

The low down is the fact that bees are disappearing at an alarming rate around the world. This has consequences for humans and Sven and Ana wanted to do something about it. They were encouraged to grow ‘bee friendly’ plants in their garden and to keep bees to do their bit. So they put a couple of hives in their yard to help local bee populations.

They joined the Central Coast Beekeepers Association, Sven put his name on the Swarm List and they got busy building and painting a few boxes, super excited to host their new little friends.

Now their honey is enjoyed all over the Mid North Coast.

In spring pollen collection becomes important in order to feed increased brood numbers and dandelions happen to be all around at the start of spring.
If you have them in your garden maybe you can try letting them do their thing 🐝
